Watch Review – Rolex Datejust Women’s

The new women’s Rolex Datejust two-tone features a solid-link bracelet.  Rolex is notorious for keeping their watches similar over the decades.  They just refine their designs by adding better components.  They may modify their bezel by placing their logo “Rolex” on the inside of the bezel.  They may make their center links solid.  But, what you will find a different looking bezel with different hands or markers on the dial.  The consistency at which they keep their watch designs, even their website, signifies a more confident brand.  They do not make changes based on feelings or without intense pre-thought.

This Datejust retailed around $8K.  Its stainless steel is 904 grade steel.  It’s much more industrial and stronger to use than 316L grade steel (the same as used by OMEGA, Tag Heuer, Breitling, etc.).  Rolex is the only manufacturer to use this steel.  Even the sapphire crystals are made by Rolex themselves.  The watch is a culmination of history and with new modern changes (clasp re-designed, bracelet solid links, etc.), the watch is ever more perfect.
